Understanding Coil Resistance (‘Ohms’)

The term ‘Ohms’ refers to the resistance of the coil. Coils under 1 ohm are known as sub-ohm coils and are best used with high VG e-liquids (60VG or above). Coils with a resistance of 1 ohm or higher are ideal for 50/50 blends and high PG liquids, such as nic salts.

In general:

• Higher ohm coils – produce less vapour, deliver a stronger throat hit, and last longer before needing replacement.
• Lower ohm coils – produce bigger clouds and richer flavour, though they may need replacing more frequently.
